Believe it or not, Cognition has been a part of our community for almost nine years! We would like to spend some time with you to look back over the years, evaluate impact, and dream about our future together.

Please join us Saturday February 7th at 6-8pm at Mills Community House in Benzonia.

Hearty Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.
This event is intended for adults or teenage guests.

Cognition will host a program just for kids at the discovery center from 5:30-8:30 for pizza and play!

A New Season of Benzonia Dances is here. A while back I was asked about my tail, what it was doing, is it upright, tucked, fluffed out, wagging? And I thought it would be a great theme for a dance. So this season is all about body language, inspired by the animals. 
  • In January we focus on fur and all the ways it communicates and how we can bring attention to our own outer covering and use it for expression
  • In February we find our feet and paws and notice how they meet the earth to move us and to signal information to others. 
  • In March we turn to tails and how we can notice our own tails and imagine the ways they are swishing behind us and letting everyone know what's up. 
  • In April we noodle on noses to see how they guide our direction and indicate to others what we want. 
  • In May we eye ears and find out how they can show off what we are attending to. 
We take June and July off and resume for August - November.
