UNFIT 2 FIT Seminar Series
Frankfort Seventh-day Adventist Church Free Event Starting Date: Sunday, September 15, 2024 Time: 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Lower Level (L) Unfit to Fit is a FREE eight week health seminar that will be held on Sunday afternoons beginning on September 15, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mills Community House. There will be low impact exercises (walking or chair exercises), guest speakers from the medical field presenting on a variety of health related topics and vegetarian cooking classes with food samples for everyone to enjoy. Ephemera Show
"For the Love of Art and Paper" Sponsored by 254 South Saturday October 19th 10:00-4:00 Sunday October 20th 1:00-4:00 What is ephemera? Ephemera is a noun for objects that were intended to have short term use or enjoyment. Think postcards, paper maps, advertisements, newspapers, travel and event tickets, menus, valentines, theater programs. The list goes on and on. What will the ephemera show look like? The ephemera show will be held at the Mills Community House in Benzonia, MI. The upper level of the Mills will have tables for registrants to display their ephemera. This may look like a postcard collection or art created from upcycled paper products. Entrance to the show will be free but crafters will be allowed to sell their wares. The lower level of the Mills will have space set up for hands on paper crafting. |
Cookbook Book Club
Mills Community House Association 4th Monday of the month October 28th 12:00-1:00 Lower Level (L) Let's gather to talk about cookbooks, share our favorite cookbooks, and try food made from our favorite cookbooks. If you can and want to, please bring a dish to pass from a cookbook of your choosing and also bring the book with you. *If your favorite cookbook is pinterest, or a blog, or your own heart, that counts! Come on over. Cookbook Book Club will be on the Lower Level of Mills Community House. There is a kitchen on this level so if anything needs to be reheated or stored in the fridge we can accommodate that. Let's cook! |
